Cambridge English

Cambridge English Language Assessment, which is specialised in language testing, administers around 1.5 million tests in 135 countries worldwide every year. It is also a member of ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) http://www.alte.org, an institution whose primary focus is to provide high-quality language tests that must meet strict standard requirements.

All the exams must adhere to European standard CEFR levels (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Cambridge Certificates are accepted by universities, employers and organisations worldwide. They can be converted to study credits in most Italian universities.

The Università Politecnica delle Marche recognises Cambridge certifications with the 'Extended Certification' system, which makes it possible, for example, to obtain a B2 level by achieving a PET certification with a particularly good result.
Further information is available on the Cambridge Extended Certification page.

Università Politecnica Delle Marche has been an Authorised Centre for Cambridge English Certifications since 2000 for the following levels:
Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) - CEFR B1 (Extended Certification: A2-B2)
Cambridge English: First (FCE) - CEFR B2 (Extended Certification: B1-C1)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) - CEFR C1 (Extended Certification: B2-C2)
Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) - CEFR C2 (Extended Certification: C1-C2).

We usually offer three exam sessions over the year: March, May/June, November/December

(See calendar)

From September 2022 registration is open to everyone. Registration fees for certain candidates are reduced.
