Engineering - English test for M.Sc. taught in English

ENGINEERING

PREREQUISITE ENGLISH LANGUAGE VERIFICATION TEST FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE APPLIED TO:

  • M.SC. IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING (CEFR B2 LEVEL)
  • M.SC. IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING (CEFR B2 LEVEL)
  • M.SC. IN GREEN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (CEFR B2 LEVEL)
  • M.SC. IN CIVIL ENGINEERING (CEFR B2 LEVEL - PREREQUISITE ONLY FOR CLASSES TAUGHT IN ENGLISH)

To be admitted to one of the courses mentioned above, students must show a level of competency in the English language of at least CEFR B2 LEVEL.
Therefore, students must take a computer-based test (held by the Language Centre, CSAL) and an oral exam with a Commission.

Read the computer test guidelines.

Students who possess one of the international language certificates in English, minimum B2 level, listed on this page, can send it to the registrar's office. The certification exempts the student from taking both the computer test and the oral exam.

To apply for the computer test, use the following form (it is not possible to register on Esse3):
APPLICATION FORM: English Language - Engineering - M.Sc. taught in English (The form will be opened a few weeks before the test).

The form will be open until five calendar days before the test dates.

The tests will be held on the same dates as the ones for M.Sc. taught in Italian.

The test results will not be published but will be sent directly to the Commission; all participants of the computer test, regardless of their result, must take the oral exam.

INTENSIVE PRE-COURSE

In September, the Language Centre, CSAL, offers an intensive two-week course to prepare for the test.
